One of 60 to Participate in Third Annual Marketplace for Impact Investing

Denver, March 7, 2019 – CO Impact Days and Initiative announced the top 60 social ventures that have been invited to meet face to face with investors in order to seek millions of dollars of “impact investments” at the third annual CO Impact Days Social Venture Showcase. The event will be held March 11 – 14, 2019 and Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) was selected for the third consecutive year in a competitive process with judges from around the United States.

The 60 valuable and diverse ventures will convene on March 11 and 12 at the Curtis Hotel in Downtown Denver for this innovative “shark-tank for good” statewide marketplace for impact investing. The chosen social ventures will showcase their investment opportunities to more than 200 investors and philanthropists and offer not only a financial return on the impact investor’s investment, but also offer solutions to some of the most pressing issues throughout Colorado and beyond. Colorado Enterprise Fund will be represented in the Economic Development and Social Justice category and will be showcased on Tuesday, March 12 at 4:30 p.m. CEF is also a sponsor of Colorado Impact Days and will have the opportunity to exhibit at the event.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity for the third consecutive year to pitch investors of this level, to prove our viability, showcase our importance to this community, and share our track record of providing a great return on their investments,” says CEF President and CEO Ceyl Prinster. “We are very honored, and receiving any funding enables us to serve more Colorado businesses, which in turn will ultimately advance economic opportunity and prosperity in our Colorado communities.”

CO Impact Days is a three-day conference where individuals and organizations gain the confidence, tools, and connections they need to align their money with their mission and values. The public event culminates with an in-person Social Venture Marketplace for investors filled with valuable social ventures (projects, nonprofits, for profits, and funds) that are seeking investments. CO Impact Days’ innovation is uniquely possible because Colorado is home to a number of national leaders in impact investing and a thriving and collaborative community of social venture entrepreneurs in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, plus philanthropists and investors who are committed to growing Colorado’s economy and creating good jobs while ensuring the state remains one of the best places to work, live and play in the country.
