CEF is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the organization during a time of pivotal strategic growth. Reporting into the President and CEO, the CFO will play a key role in helping CEF realize its mission by providing strategic leadership in the areas of finance, operations, and risk management. The CFO will lead the finance function and be responsible for building process, policy, and systems to lead CEF into the future.
The CFO will have day-to-day responsibility for planning, building, implementing, and managing the financial activities, serve as a thought-leader on the senior team, and create policy related to finance across the organization. With an eye towards process improvements and performance enhancements, the CO will create streamlined systems for better efficiency. Working along with the Chief Strategy Officer the CFO will be instrumental in identifying opportunities and new strategies for effective IT transformation. In addition, the CFO will be responsible for providing strategic oversight on internal systems and business processes to fit the needs of a growing organization.

We have an immediate opening for an exceptional, experienced Community Loan Officer (CLO)-Denver. This is an important role with the ability to make a large impact in the Colorado small business community. The main duties of our CLO at CEF are to connect with referral sources such as banks, SBA offices, SBDCs and other community organizations in the Denver area to cultivate and manage loan applications to completed funding. Your ability to actively stay visible in the community and build trust will be critical to your success both with referral sources and Denver small business owners. Your sense of urgency, flexibility, persistence, and mission focused people-centric mindset will be your primary differentiators. This role requires a self-motivated driven individual who is comfortable building relationships across a wide variety of spectrums. The CLO will report to our Director of Strategic Lending.

We have an immediate opening for an exceptional, experienced Director of Credit will lead our CEF underwriting and asset quality team. We are looking for a candidate who has leadership skills and prior experience guiding employees through change. The Director of Credit will play a central role in the growth and expansion of CEF’s underwriting and credit function. They will provide structure, management and mentorship to underwriters and other members of our credit team. The Director of Credit will partner internally to support meeting budgeted goals, contribute to process improvements, develop networks, and help ensure CEF’s financing is aligned with its mission and strategy. This role will be critical in Compliance and Portfolio management through ongoing portfolio analysis while ensuring our lending products align with our mission to support underserved Colorado Small Businesses.

We are looking for a full-time employee in our Business Navigation Services group. This employee is responsible for providing effective business coaching (also called “technical assistance”) both pre and post loan to CEF clients, as part of our Business Navigation (BN) team.
The BN team provides coaching, tools, and resources to entrepreneurs to help them position their businesses for success. This coaching may include assisting clients in the Denver Metro area face to face with setting up financial documents such as cashflow or profit and loss statements, building their workforce, reviewing operations for increased profitability and devising marketing strategies for a variety of business sectors. Business Navigators are provided with tools and templates to use with clients and are also encouraged to bring their unique set of skills and resources in support of the community.
