Colorado Small Biz Academy Architect and Promotor - Contract Position
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The contractor assigned to this project will help achieve our un-tapped capability of putting on workshops for small business owners or owners-to-be as they achieve valuable certifications in curriculums of startup and operational excellence.

This is a 1099 Contractor role.  Be aware of the two phases of this role:  It begins as an educational analyst and finishes as a quasi-salesperson.  Both roles demand, from time to time, a physical presence in Colorado’s Front Range, with a concentration on Metro Denver. The preponderance of the worktime, however, can be accomplished electronically.

A proven track record of soft selling is required, as is experience creating learning materials, curriculums, or teaching.  A history of working with non-profit organizations is a plus, as is acquaintance with SBA procedures or working with the SBA in any capacity or being recognized by the SBA for service. A track record of working with non-profits serving small businesses owned by Black Americans and people of color (BIPOC) and women is another plus.

Final Impressions Project - Contract Position
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The individual awarded this project will innovate and head our Final Impressions Project.  CEF places great attention on a positive first impression for each customer.  We wish to create a similarly positive, supportive experience for people paying off their loan, including preparing them possibly for additional financing through CEF partners. At the same time, we seek to gather important impact data from each departing borrower.

The successful contractor will have a proven track record of customer service or other custom-facing activities.  Experience in planning or following organizational procedures is also required. Respondents with Spanish language skills and cultural understanding will be more highly considered.  A track record of working in banking or finance will be a plus, along with experience with non-profits serving small businesses owned by Black Americans and people of color (BIPOC) and women. Another plus is working with the SBA in any capacity or being recognized by the SBA for service.

Impact of Cost Sharing - Contract Position
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The individual assigned this project will accelerate our program of creating impact through cost sharing of technical assistance (TA) efforts of CEF’s non-profit partners.  To date, we have deployed $66,500 to seven partners.  Through SBA funding expiring June 30, 2023, CEF has the opportunity to create more community impact than at present.  Cost sharing of TA is a new concept to CEF and to our partners.  Therefore, some degree of soft selling is required, even though this service is entirely free. The acquisition of impact data from partners is the only conceivable “cost.”  As such, soft selling is again required to obtain it.

A track record of soft selling, along with a thorough understanding of non-profit culture, is required for this role.  Acquaintance with SBA procedures is a plus, as is working with the SBA in any capacity or being recognized by the SBA for service.  A track record of working with non-profits serving small businesses owned by Black Americans and people of color (BIPOC) and women is another plus.

This is a 1099 contractor role.

Attorneys with a proven record of serving small businesses is required, as is experience creating learning materials on legal topics.  Past support of businesses owned by Black Americans or people of color (BIPOC) or women is a plus.  Another plus is working with the SBA in any capacity or being recognized by the SBA for service.
