When did you join CEF?
I am a small business consultant and entrepreneur with over ten years of experience in the field. I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in human resources. Born in Los Angeles California and raised in Mexico, I came
to Colorado 12 years ago planning to stay for only two years, but I fell in love with “Colorful Colorado”. My professional experience has traversed diverse sectors, encompassing non-profit and government institutions in Colorado. My passion
for helping others, especially fellow business owners, stems from a profound recognition of their significant economic and social contributions to society.
I became a part of CEF due to its impactful community-centered work with entrepreneurs and business owners. Witnessing the organization's commitment to bridging the gap between underserved businesses and capital access inspired my decision to
join. Recognizing small businesses as the backbone of the economy, I believe CEF plays a vital role in providing opportunities denied by traditional financial institutions.
What is it about your personality that aligns you with CEF?
My passion lies in assisting businesses in their journey to start, grow, and succeed. CEF serves as an exceptional platform to realize this passion. I value diversity, and CEF's rich culture, marked by its diverse composition, resonates with my
appreciation for varied perspectives.
What is it about Colorado that makes it so incredible?
Colorado's beauty extends far beyond its breathtaking landscapes. I cherish the diversity, mountains, and the array of seasonal activities that make Colorado unique. From diverse weather patterns to sports, amusement parks, and more, Colorado
truly offers everything. I feel fortunate to call myself a Coloradan.
If you had a band, what would it be called & why?
Despite not being musically talented, if I had a band, it would be called "The Norteños". I appreciate various music genres within the Mexican music spectrum (and really music in general), but traditional folkloric Mexican music is one of my favorite
rhythms.
If you could choose one place in Colorado to take people visiting from out of town, where would it be?
Maroon Bells would be my top choice. The beauty of this location would leave a lasting impression and would create cherished memories.
If I had a magic wand, I'd...
Use it to spread peace worldwide. I strongly believe in the potential of humanity to create a better world, and fostering global peace would be my ultimate wish.
When you are exploring Colorado, do you go with a tent, camper, couch surf, or a hotel? What is your favorite in-state destination?
I typically opt for a hotel, as camping and mountain-type outdoor activities were not a significant part of my upbringing in Mexico. My favorite destinations in Colorado include Maroon Bells in Aspen, Georgetown, Golden, Boulder, Vail, and Estes
Park. Choosing just one is difficult!
Favorite food & where do you go to find it in Colorado?
Mexican food holds the top spot in my culinary preferences. For an authentic experience, I recommend Cilantro Mexican restaurant in Denver or Rancho Alegre in Aurora for a delightful taste of Mexican cuisine.
