It’s time to get back to building small business dreams. CEF wants to help fuel your new or existing business.  Whether you need money to get started, purchase capital equipment, create new jobs, or working capital, the Colorado Startup Loan Fund strives to provide access to capital and spark economic growth. 

How is this possible?

The funding was appropriated by the Colorado State Legislature to support Colorado's Small Business community post-pandemic.  CEF is working with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Transportation (OEDIT) to launch this unique funding opportunity.  If you are a for-profit entity, have 25 full-time employees or less, and make less than $2 million/year in gross annual revenue, this funding program may fit your needs. 

And there is more! This program provides limited grant funds for startup businesses approved for a loan. Startup businesses are businesses that have been in operation 2 years or less.  Grants are limited to up to 20% of the loan amount with a maximum grant of $15K. Grants can not be used for working capital, owner compensation, or payroll. While loans must be paid back according to the terms of the loan, grant funds do not have to be paid back.  Grant applications will be provided once a loan has been closed with CEF and will be reviewed on a first come first serve basis.  

Not all startup businesses will qualify for the grant and funds are limited.
