Partnership Helps Thriving Families Create a Hub for Family Well Being

DENVER, CO — September 10, 2026 — An innovative financing partnership among Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation (DDCOF), Telligen Community Initiative (TCI), and Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) is helping Thriving Families establish a permanent home where women and families can access a wide range of health, family support and educational services under one roof.

The collaboration enabled Thriving Families to secure financing for the purchase and renovation of a 20,000- square-foot facility that will house MotherWise and other family-strengthening programs, case management, mental health services, medical and oral health care, childcare, and practical supports. The new facility will allow the organization to serve more families in Denver and across Colorado while creating a welcoming, centralized location designed around the needs of parents and children.

As a longtime Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation grantee, Thriving Families approached the Foundation about a mission-related investment to help bring its vision for a permanent home to life. What began as a conversation about a low-interest loan evolved into a collaborative funding solution. When the organization's financing needs exceeded what a single organization could provide alone, DDCOF, TCI and CEF worked together to assemble a financing package that made the project possible.

In addition to grantmaking, DDCOF offers mission-related investments (MRIs), which provide low-interest financing to organizations whose work advances oral health and well-being in Colorado communities. As Colorado’s only dedicated oral health funder, the Foundation uses MRIs to support projects that strengthen community infrastructure, improve access to care, and create long-term community impact.

TCI's involvement grew out of an existing grant relationship with Thriving Families via its Strengthening Families and Communities program. Ongoing conversations and a shared commitment to improving health and well-being revealed an opportunity for the organizations to support Thriving Families' long-term vision with a mission-driven investment.

Collaboration in funding is more critical than ever, and this entire opportunity represents a win-win-win for all parties and, most importantly, assists Thriving Families and those they serve for years to come.”

Colorado Enterprise Fund, which administers DDCOF’s low-interest loan program, played a key role in structuring the financing package and contributing investment capital alongside DDCOF and TCI.
