For Amber Burr, Dannie Burr, and their family, Daddy’s Homemade Syrup has always been more than a business—it’s a mission rooted in love, health, and togetherness. What began as Dannie’s effort to create healthier, all-natural options for his family has grown into a thriving Colorado-based brand committed to sweetening lives naturally and leading a syrup revolution.

With Dannie’s culinary background and passion for crafting unique flavor profiles, and Amber’s strength in operations and business management, the pair built a company that blends creativity with purpose. What started in their home kitchen has evolved into a recognized and growing brand, now serving both direct-to-consumer customers and wholesale partners across Colorado.

From early days selling at farmers markets and local events, Daddy’s Homemade has expanded into coffee shops, retail locations, and e-commerce—bringing their small-batch, all-natural syrups to a wider audience. Made with simple ingredients like pure cane sugar and natural flavors, their products are now used in everything from coffee and cocktails to breakfast staples and desserts.

Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) played a pivotal role in helping bring this vision to life. In 2020, Amber received a $10,000 microloan that enabled the business to purchase ingredients and packaging to launch operations. That early support became a catalyst for sustainable growth. Since then, Daddy’s Homemade has continued to leverage resources through the SBA, SBDC, and other programs to expand its reach and impact.

That growth is reflected in the company’s steady revenue trajectory—growing from $61,000 to $73,000 to $96,000 over the past three years—as they continue to build a loyal customer base and expand into new markets.

The company has received multiple grants and recognitions, including OEDIT’s Small Business Accelerated Growth Program and the Denver Broncos Business Boost. They have also gained media recognition, including a feature on 9NEWS, and have been named finalists for Business of the Year (Evergreen Chamber) and Start-up Business of the Year (Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce).

Today, Daddy’s Homemade offers more than 25 flavors—with over 100 created to date—demonstrating a deep commitment to innovation and customer experience. But what truly sets the company apart is its growing community impact initiative: Pour Love Forward.

Pour Love Forward is a Colorado-based movement created by Daddy’s Homemade to give back to those who give so much—starting with teachers and schools. Through this initiative, the company partners with local businesses, organizations, and community members to provide “Sweet Thanks” packages that include syrup, handwritten notes, classroom supplies, and small gifts of appreciation. The goal is simple but powerful: to ensure educators feel seen, supported, and valued year-round.

This initiative reflects the heart behind the brand: turning everyday products into meaningful moments of connection and generosity. Whether through their products or their outreach, Daddy’s Homemade is committed to making a tangible difference in the communities they serve.

Looking ahead, Daddy’s Homemade is focused on scaling its wholesale footprint, expanding retail partnerships, and has begun early conversations with regional distributors to bring its products to a broader market. As the company grows, they remain committed to building strong partnerships that align with their values and product quality. At the same time, they are working to expand Pour Love Forward into a statewide movement that brings together businesses and communities to support those who need it most.

With a strong foundation, a clear mission, and the early support of Colorado Enterprise Fund, Daddy’s Homemade Syrup is not just building a business—they are building a movement centered on connection, quality, and giving back.
