CEF Receives 2014 Top Company-Nonprofit Award from ColoradoBiz Magazine
Denver, August 29, 2014 – Last night, Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) received the 2014 Top Company award in the nonprofit category from ColoradoBiz magazine at the 27th annual Top Company Awards ceremony in Denver.
CEF received this award for “its mission-driven financing to businesses that fit “outside the box” of traditional lending criteria…largely serving low-income, minority and other under-served entrepreneurs” as stated in an article on CoBizmag.com.
Top Company is widely considered the most competitive professional award in the state. To make the assessment of which organizations will take home the top honors, the judging panel considers criteria including: financial performance and growth, community service, operations, timing, sustained excellence, competition within the market, perseverance, and noteworthy achievement.
“I’m thrilled that CEF was recognized as the winner of the TOP Company Award for nonprofits last night at an event hosted by UMB Bank, Deloitte and ColoradoBiz magazine,” said President and CEO, Ceyl Prinster, who accepted the award on behalf of CEF. “This is a tribute to all the CEF team for doing amazing work and having a huge impact in Colorado.”
