ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) founded in 1976. Our goal is to ensure economic vitality for Colorado by providing loans and business coaching to locally owned businesses. We are committed to serving all small businesses, and we target resources to Black, Latinx, women, and veteran-owned businesses. CEF has a team of fluent Spanish-speaking professionals specialized in serving Spanish-speaking business owners. POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Support Contractor will support CEF in administrative duties related to CEF’s grant and loan programs. Contractor will support CEF in processing documents and applications for grants and loans, ensuring information is entered accurately into software systems and stored appropriately according to CEF’s file management protocols. We are seeking candidates who are looking for flexible, part-time work that sometimes requires a high level of engagement and at other times is quiet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop proficiency with CEF’s software and systems, showing adaptability to updates and changes in process.
  • Work with other members of the team to ensure that information entered into the CRM system or external systems is accurate and appropriately detailed.
  • Review information provided to you for completeness and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate nimbleness and a willingness to learn by working on a variety of projects with different teams inside the organization, based on CEF’s needs at the time.
  • Communicate with CEF team members, as appropriate, to ensure shared understanding of all processes and procedures.
  • Communicate with customers regarding missing documents and/or program deadlines via phone calls or other communications.
 

TRAINING, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in administrative roles in a professional setting. Experience working in lending preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in using business software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems, and Digital Phone and Video Conferencing Systems.
  • A commitment to CEF’s mission of serving a diverse population of Colorado business owners.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including an ability to engage in consistent, detailed documentation of work performed.
  • Excel in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing, and independent environment.
  • Strong problem solver who is able to see many sides of an issue and knows when to ask questions and seek further information from peers and colleagues.
 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Workspace: Currently, all CEF employees are working remotely. CEF contractors are expected to provide their own equipment including, a password-protected, secure, and dependable computer that is exclusively used by the contractor, secure internet access, smartphone, and an appropriate workspace for conducting calls or meetings with CEF colleagues.
